Dropbox: Limit download speed

When you download very large files from Dropbox, it can take a few hours. If Dropbox uses the entire Internet bandwidth in the process, you won't be able to browse the Internet or perform other downloads at your usual speed during this time. You can prevent this by limiting Dropbox's download speed.

Dropbox is always set to use the entire Internet bandwidth for downloads. For larger files, this can cause other downloads to slow down considerably and prevent you from browsing the Internet at full speed. The settings can be adjusted so that Dropbox still leaves enough bandwidth free to continue using the Internet normally, even for large downloads. You can either set an upper limit yourself or give Dropbox the right to automatically limit the download speed. You can only make the setting if you have the Dropbox client installed on your computer. So stellen Sie Dropbox richtig ein

1. Öffnen Sie Dropbox.
2. Klicken Sie oben rechts in der Ecke auf das kleine Zahnrad.
3. Wählen Sie „Einstellungen“.
4. Klicken Sie auf die Registerkarte „Bandbreite“.
5. Unter „Upload-Geschwindigkeit“ finden Sie die Option „Begrenzen auf“.
6. Geben Sie die Obergrenze in Kbyte pro Sekunde ein oder wählen Sie „Automatisch begrenzen“ aus.
7. Klicken Sie auf „OK“, um die Änderungen zu speichern.
