Since a certain update in 2016, Facebook Messenger has had the option to play soccer. The mini-game is about not letting a soccer fall on the ground. You save it by repeatedly tapping it in time, but not too soon. Since soccer is available in chat, you can compete against a friend. Provide a high score and your contact can try to beat yours.Since the soccer game in Facebook Messenger is a small Easter Egg, the game can't just be accessed directly. Instead, you need to use the correct code with a smiley.

1. Make sure Facebook Messenger is up to date - otherwise you may not be able to play soccer!
2. Then launch Messenger and start chatting with a contact of your choice.
3. Tap the emote icon with four smileys next to the chat line.
4. Im oberen Bereich tippen Sie nun das Fußball-Emote an.
5. Anschließend tippen Sie unten den Fußball-Smiley an und schicken die Nachricht ab.
6. Tippen Sie dann im Chat auf den gesendeten Smiley und Sie können sofort und direkt im Facebook Messenger Fußball spielen.
