Repair: How to start Outlook in Safe Mode

If you encounter problems while using Outlook, you can try to fix them by repairing the program. There are several ways to repair Outlook in this regard. If the e-mail program does not work as usual, incorrect settings or plug-ins are often responsible. To adjust or remove them, please start Outlook in safe mode. Press the key combination "Windows key" + "R" to open the Run dialog. Enter the command "outlook.exe/save" and confirm the entry with the "Return" key.

How to repair Outlook via the Control Panel

If problems with Outlook continue to occur even after starting in safe mode, try to repair the program via the Control Panel of your computer.

1. To do this, first open the Control Panel by searching for the term "Control Panel" in the Start menu and clicking on the corresponding entry.
