GOG Galaxy 2.0 in beta: What does the big update bring?

GOG Galaxy, the gaming client from Good Old Games, is already a few years old and seemed slightly dusty in places. For this reason, Galaxy 2.0 has long been in development and available as an open beta.

Everything is new: GOG Galaxy 2.0 is a clear leap forward in development compared to its predecessor.

GOG belongs to CD Projekt Red, which is also responsible for Cyberpunk 2077. For this reason alone, the Galaxy launcher is currently receiving more attention than usual.

GOG Galaxy 2.0: Beta with important innovations

Here is all the noteworthy info on the open beta of Galaxy 2.0:

• The most important innovation of Galaxy 2.0 should be the cross-platform capabilities. Since there are now quite a few gaming clients, which means increased effort and less overview for players, Galaxy 2.0 can be linked to all known platforms and thus act as a central point.
• Fittingly, the various friend lists are also to be unified.
• The compatible ecosystems include virtually all the major names, starting with Steam and Epic Games through Xbox Live and PlayStation Network to Origin and Uplay. Only Blizzard's Bnet launcher is missing.

Galaxy 2.0 is thus supposed to offer a gaming experience of the modern kind - unified, clear and efficient. Apart from that, the entire program has been visually redesigned and now looks absolutely contemporary.
