Convert ODT to PDF - change the format

The free word processor OpenOffice offers you all important functions for creating and editing your documents. In doing so, it can easily keep up with programs like Word. The files are saved by default in the "ODT" format (Open Document Text). However, if you need the document as a PDF, you can convert the format.

How to convert an ODT document to a PDF

The default format of Open and LibreOffice is ODT. However, if you no longer want to edit the file or send it, it is a good idea to convert the document to a PDF. To change to a PDF, there are different possibilities.

1. If you own OpenOffice, open the document with the program. To do this, double-click on the file with the left mouse button.
2. In OpenOffice, then go to "File" at the top and select the option "Export as PDF".
3. Now specify a desired location and click "Save".
4. The "PDF Options" window will open.
5. Go to "Tagged PDF" under "General" and finally click "Export".
