iPhone memory: How to manage it
On the iPhone, you can view how much memory the device is already using via the settings. Here you will also find the "Other" section. Directly on the iPhone, however, you can not see what it is. This area has nothing in common with the "Other" files in iTunes.
This is what's behind "Other" and "Other" in iPhone storage
In the settings of your iPhone you will find the "General" area. Then, in the "iPhone Memory" subsection, you can see how much of the memory each category requires. The "Other" area is also displayed here. This is the area of the memory that is reserved by the iOS operating system. Among other things, software updates, Siri voices, files in the cache or logs are stored in it. If you connect your iPhone to iTunes, you will also see "Other" files.- In the "Other" files you see under iTunes, various types of files are grouped together.
- These are documents, miscellaneous files or content dropped by Safari. Files from the Mail app or iTunes are also included.
