Saeco PicoBaristo descale - how to proceed

For the best coffee enjoyment, it is important that you clean and descale your Saeco PicoBaristo regularly. The automatic coffee maker has an extra descaling program for this purpose, which you start via the settings. To avoid damaging the machine when descaling, there are a few things to keep in mind.

How to descale your PicoBaristo coffee maker

To avoid damage and problems when descaling, Philips recommends its in-house CA6700 descaler.

1. Press the [Clean] button and select the descaling function in the menu. Confirm the selection by pressing [OK].
2. Empty the drip tray and replace it. Press [OK].
3. Empty the water tank and remove the water filter. Pour the descaling solution into the tank and fill up to the "Calc Clean" indicator with tap water. Replace the tank and confirm with [OK].
4. Fill the additional milk container with water. Press [OK] to continue.
5. Place a bowl under the outlet. Start the descaling cycle by pressing [OK] to confirm. The process takes about 20 minutes. The machine stops at intervals so that you can empty the collection container.
6. Once the process is complete, remove the water and milk containers and refill with tap water. Place the drip tray back under the outlet and start the rinsing process with the [OK] button.

If the descaling process is complete, insert a new water filter and activate it via the settings menu of the coffee machine.
