Microsoft Teams: settings - what you can customize

Microsoft Teams offers you many ways to communicate inside and outside your company. For example, you can not only chat, but also make video calls and phone calls. To customize these features, various settings are available to you.

How to change the settings in Microsoft Teams

To customize Microsoft Teams to your needs, the settings of the application can be changed as you like. This does not require a lot of clicks and hand movements, but you can do it without much effort. This applies to both the desktop version and the mobile app.

1. First, open the Microsoft Teams application.
2. Then click on your profile picture, which is located in the top right of the bar.
3. There, select "Settings".
4. Now you can adjust various factors as you wish.
5. Change about your profile picture, status, notifications and keyboard shortcuts and some more.
6. If you want to change the language, then follow the path "Settings" > "General" and "Language". This also allows you to adjust the time and date to the respective country by changing the preferred language and region.
7. On the other hand, if you want to change the contrast of "Microsoft Teams", then you will find under "Settings" > "General" > "Design" > "High Contrast". Zudem stehen Ihnen auch die Alternativen „Standard“ und „Dunkel“ zur Auswahl.
8. Damit „Microsoft Teams“ sich beim Start direkt öffnet, können Sie dies unter „Einstellungen“ > „Allgemein“ und „Anwendung“ sowohl aktivieren als auch wieder deaktivieren.
9. Für die Auswahl der Einstellungen in der App gehen Sie auf die drei untereinander liegenden Striche und wählen dort die Option „Einstellungen“ aus.
