Confluence: mindmaps - how to create them

Confluence is a software designed for team collaboration. It is used to leverage knowledge to implement projects more efficiently and effectively. It also documents knowledge and serves as a basis for exchange for numerous online wikis.

How to use mindmaps in Confluence

A special mindmap tool is not yet integrated in Confluence. Instead, you will find a special add-on for this, which you can use accordingly after installation. This is integrated into Confluence for safe and effective work. With the mindmapping tool, you can graphically represent your work and the ideas collected during brainstorming and thus get a better overview. Your mind maps can be designed individually according to your wishes and can also be expanded at any time. You can test the add-on free of charge in advance, while later a monthly fee is due, which depends on the number of users.

1. For the installation of this add-on, first log in to Confluence as an administrator.
2. Now select the drop-down menu for administrators.
3. There you then click on "Add-Ons".
4. Navigieren Sie zu „Mind Maps für Confluence“.
5. Nun selektieren Sie „Kostenlose Testphase“.
6. Daraufhin startet der Download.
7. Anschließend installieren Sie die heruntergeladene Datei und folgen dabei den Anweisungen auf Ihrem Bildschirm.
8. Ist die Installation abgeschlossen, können Sie das Tool direkt verwenden.
