Encrypt OneDrive - protect your cloud storage
With OneDrive from Microsoft, you have a cloud storage that allows you to manage all your Office files and synchronize multiple devices. To ensure that your data can never fall into the wrong hands, you should encrypt OneDrive.
How to encrypt your OneDrive data
There are several protection instances on OneDrive to encrypt your data. Therefore, please note the following tips:- Choose a password that is as secure as possible for your Microsoft account and thus also for OneDrive. So avoid names, birthdays, anniversaries & Co. Use both letters and numbers and a special character.
- In your Microsoft account you should set up the two-factor identification. Log in for this in the Broser on the website of Microsoft and switch to "Security". Here, select "Two-step verification" and follow the steps.
- Also protect the devices on which your OneDrive is logged in. On the PC, ensure this with a PIN, which is requested when the PC boots. On the smartphone, you should rely on the fingerprint, facial recognition or an unlock code.
