Microsoft Teams is an Office365 application that allows you to collaborate in teams inside and outside your company. For this purpose, you can use practical tools such as chat function or video conferencing. Quoting should also help you simplify teamwork.

How to quote in Microsoft Teams

To get a better context between sent messages in the Microsoft Teams chat feature and refer to specific statements, you can quote them. This succeeds both in the mobile version and in the desktop version. This way, you get a direct answer to certain questions or statements and thus do not lose the context.

1. In the mobile version of Microsoft Teams, you can handle it similarly to how you already know it from other chat applications. Simply swipe the messages to the right and you have the option to quote them.
2. In the desktop variant, first select the message or the part of the message that you want to quote.
3. Then copy it via "Ctrl" and "C".
4. Nun geben Sie in das Textfeld „>“ ein, wodurch Sie einen Zitat-Bereich definieren.
