Honor 20: Suppress phone number - how to do it

To make a call with a suppressed phone number, you can choose between two different methods on the Honor 20. Which is the right way for you depends on whether you want to suppress your number by default or only once.

This is how you suppress the phone number on the Honor 20

To prevent your phone number from being displayed to the other party when a call is made, the Honor 20 has a function for suppressing the phone number. To use the caller ID suppression, please turn it on as follows:
  1. First, open the Honor 20's phone app by tapping the handset icon on the home screen.
  2. In the app, then tap the three-dot icon to open the menu and navigate to "Settings" > "Additional settings".
  3. There, select the "Caller ID" entry and tap "Suppress phone number" to prevent the number from being displayed.
  4. If you want to undo the caller ID suppression, this is possible by selecting under "Settings" > "Additional settings" > "Caller ID" either the option "Show caller ID" or the option "Network default setting".

Honor 20: How to suppress the call number by code entry

Alternatively to the method described above, you can also suppress the call number on the Honor 20 via GSM code. This is especially useful if you do not want to suppress your number all the time, but only for a single call. To use this method, please first enter the GSM code #31# and only then the phone number you want to call.
