Samsung Galaxy series: change lockscreen

On the Samsung Galaxy series, you can change the lockscreen quite quickly and easily. Depending on which model you have, the menu may look a little different on your end, but the process is basically the same. In the menu, you adjust the lockscreen to your preferences.

Samsung Galaxy series: How to change the lockscreen

You always change the lockscreen for smartphones from the Samsung Galaxy series via the settings. The newer the model, the more individual settings you can make.

1. First, go to the "Settings" and tap "Lock screen".
2. As basic settings, you can, for example, change the lock screen type. Here you specify whether you want to unlock your smartphone by pattern, fingerprint or by pin or password.
3. If you own a Samsung Galaxy S8/S7/S6/S5/A5, why not test the Smart Lock feature? To display Smart Lock, first activate one of the above lock screen types to be able to set up Smart Lock afterwards.

That's what the lock screen can do!

In addition to the security settings for the lock screen, you can set additional info, such as the clock style, roaming clock, contact information or FaceWidgets.

1. For example, if you want to display your WhatsApp messages already on the lock screen, use the WhatsApp lock screen widget.
2. If you are often abroad with time difference, use the roaming clock to always know what time it is in your location and in your home country.
3. Under "Contact Information" enter a text that appears on the lock screen.
