iPhone X: Speaker quiet - these are the causes
You can easily control the volume settings on most smartphone models, namely via the volume buttons - and this is also the case with the iPhone X. But what if the iPhone X reproduces the sound too quietly? In the fewest cases, there is serious damage.
Speaker quiet: How to find out the cause
Often it's just a few settings you need to change or small steps you need to take to change the iPhone X volume. Go through the following points step by step to find the cause of low playback:- First of all, clean the speakers of the iPhone X. This is because tiny dirt and dust particles can accumulate here and affect the sound. Take a clean cloth or a cotton swab and clean the speakers with it.
- Remove your phone case and play music to test whether the case is a possible cause. An ill-fitting protective case can cover the speakers and affect the playback.
- Listen to the music through headphones, navigate to the Music app and go to the settings here. Tap the "Music" option and then go to "Maximum volume". If the slider is not yet at the maximum volume here, slide the slider all the way to the right.
- You can additionally turn off the "Max. volume (EU)" item in the Music app. So you lift the restriction on music playback. However, be careful not to listen to music too loudly anyway.
- If the volume of the iPhone X is too low when making calls, it is recommended to clean the ear cup. Also, set the volume to "Maximum".
