As in the main series of Pokémon games, there are shiny Pokémon in the spin-off Pokémon GO from Niantic. Shiny Pokémon: What you need to know

The search for the iridescent companions often turns out to be difficult, because you can neither specifically attract nor search for the special Pokémon.

• Because the iridescent Pokémon are not displayed as such on the area map, but reveal their specialness only in the battle screen. This means you have no choice but to fight with as many Pokémon as possible and hope to eventually come across one of the special creatures.
• Also, keep in mind that not all Shinys can be caught in the wild. For example, some you can only find in certain raids. Others, however, can only hatch from eggs or are evolutions of iridescent Pokémon.
• The developer Niantic regularly hosts events where the probability of encountering iridescent Pokémon is much higher than normal.

Shiny Pokémon swap - is it possible at all?

If you have an iridescent Pokémon that you want to swap with another player, this works only via a special exchange. However, you can only make such a special swap once a day. In addition to this limitation, the swap also costs significantly more stardust than a normal swap. How high the costs are exactly, depends among other things on the friend level.
