The number of new Reddit posts is almost unmanageable, as quite a bit of content is added every minute. Therefore, the orientation on tags can be practical - and there the NSFW abbreviation sometimes plays an important role.

Reddit: NSFW tag as a warning before opening the post

Since Reddit is also often opened on the work PC or on the go via app, the NSFW tag is even more important:

• It already indicates before opening the post that the content is not adult.
• You generally don't want to open content of this nature in front of other people.

This means, conversely, that if you enjoy creating Reddit posts yourself, you should remember to set the NSFW tag for the sake of your fellow editors if the content is offensive or not necessarily intended for public consumption.
