Samsung Galaxy S10 5G: Suppress number

On the new Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, you also have the option to suppress your number when making calls. The correct procedure for number suppression depends on whether you only want to suppress your number for one call or permanently.

How to suppress the number on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

If you want to make a call without the person you are calling finding out your number, this is possible with the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G thanks to the number suppression feature. To enable number suppression, please first open the device's phone app by tapping the handset icon.
  1. Then tap the "three-dot icon" in the top right corner of the app to open the other options and select "Settings".
  2. In the settings, please go to "Additional services" > "Show own phone number" and select the option "Hide number".
  3. The number suppression is now activated and instead of your number, the called party is shown on the cell phone display the message "Unknown number" or "Anonymous call".
  4. To undo the suppression of the number, navigate again to "Settings" > "Additional services" > "Show own number" and tap "Show number".

Samsung Galaxy S10 5G: Suppress number for individual calls

Instead of preventing the transmission of the phone number via the settings of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and apply it to all subsequent calls, you can also suppress the number only once. This is possible by using a universally valid GSM code. To do this, simply enter the code #31# before the number you want to call and your number will not be transmitted.
