WoW Shadowlands: All playable races at a glance

You can spend a lot of time with the race selection during character creation. This is more true today than ever, as special variants exist in addition to the normal races. We have the full overview.

Growing selection: Shadowlands features two new ally races.

No new races have officially been introduced in Shadowlands, but it's a different story for the ally races. Since these are also playable, this has a positive effect on the class selection.

On the side of the Horde it looks like this:

• Continue to exist the seven races Tauren, Orcs, Trolls, Blood Elves, Undead, Goblins and Pandaren.
• As five allied races, there are also Nightborn, Highmountain Tauren, Mag'har, Zandalaritroll and Vulpera (new to Shadowlands).

Then the look at the Alliance:

• Here there are the seven known races Dwarves, Night Elves, Humans, Draenei, Gnomes, Worgen and Pandaren.
• The five Allied Races are Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Dark Iron Dwarves, Kul Tirans, and Mechagnomes (new to Shadowlands).
