Using the Minecraft launcher to allocate more RAM
If you are an avid Minecraft player, performance is important to play without glitches. If you encounter problems more often while using Minecraft, it may be because Minecraft cannot use enough RAM. Therefore, assign more RAM to Minecraft.- If you have installed the Minecraft Launcher, you can use it to give Minecraft more memory.
- To do this, first start the Launcher and go to the "Profile Editor" tab.
- Then click on your profile and select "Edit Profile".
- Set a check mark next to the entry "JVM Arguments", add the command "-Xmx[RAM to be assigned]" in the adjacent text field and replace the placeholder "RAM to be assigned" with the new size of the RAM.
