Disable Google Photos - how to make the change
Any photos you take with your smartphone are stored in the Google Photos app and automatically uploaded to the cloud. To avoid using this feature, it is necessary to disable Google Photos.
How to disable photo upload in the Google Photos app
By default, all your photos that are in the Google Photos app are automatically uploaded to the cloud. However, if you don't want this to happen, you can disable auto-upload within the Photos app.- To disable it, first open Google Photos on your smartphone or tablet by tapping the "pinwheel" icon.
- Then, if you haven't already done so, sign in to your Google account and open the menu.
- Navigate in the menu to "Settings" > "Backup and Sync" and move the switch located there to the left to turn off the upload.
