Laptop: How to take a screenshot

A screenshot is a recent recording of your display and the content that is on it. You can easily create a screenshot by using a simple key combination. Screenshots are useful for sharing happenings on your laptop with other people or for preserving moments.

To take a screenshot on your laptop, you don't need much. The use of a simple key combination is already sufficient for this.
  1. First, switch on your laptop to the page or place from which you would like to take a screenshot.
  2. Now press the [Print] key to create a screenshot.
  3. The photo, however, is first saved to the clipboard of your laptop and must now continue to be pasted in another program.
  4. For this purpose, you can use, for example, Photoshop or even Windows' own application "Paint".
  5. Open the program and use the key combination [CTRL] + [V].
  6. Finally, you can save the photo from the program and create it as a file.

  1. Alternatively, you can use the "Cut & Sketch" tool to create a screenshot.
  2. Press the [Windows] key, type "Cut & Sketch" and then confirm with [Enter].
  3. Now you can use your mouse to mark an area that can be automatically created as a screenshot and saved using the program.
  4. About the tool can be created and edited in parallel only one screenshot at a time, so be careful not to accidentally overwrite your screenshot.
