Dropbox: Share Folders - Extend Access

The main benefit of Dropbox is that you can share files and folders, allowing you to share content with people who don't use the same computer. You can think of the cloud service as an external hard drive to which you easily grant access to multiple people via the Internet.

How to create a shared Dropbox folder on the computer?

There are several ways to create a shared Dropbox folder. The first is to create a folder in the Dropbox directory on your local computer that multiple people can use. This works as follows:
  1. When you installed Dropbox, a folder with the same name was automatically created on your hard drive. Open it.
  2. Create a new folder in the parent folder.
  3. Right-click on this folder and select the "Share this folder" option. You will then be automatically redirected to Dropbox's website.
  4. Invite users to this folder text box, enter the email addresses of the people you want to use the folder with.
  5. Click the "Done" button to send the invitations by mail.
