If your iPhone crashes preventing you from using it, the quickest way to fix the problem is to perform a forced reboot. Here's how to do it
One of the main features of iPhones is that they have always been very smooth and fast. Like any other electronic device, however, they are not perfect and it can happen that, for a number of reasons, they crash. A tedious defect that prevents users from performing any task.
Susually in these cases the smartphone doesn't respond to any command and clicking on the display does nothing, except to increase frustration. And even if you try to turn it off, nothing happens. So, resigned, all you have to do is wait for the device to completely discharge (if the battery is charged, it may take up to days before you turn it back on again). In fact, you just need to perform a hard reset, which allows you to force the iPhone to shut down and restart it. Don't worry, we're not talking about restoring the phone to factory conditions and your data won't be deleted.
How to force an iPhone reboot
Doing a hard reset on the iPhone is very simple. Let's say the phone suddenly becomes unusable. Don't despair. All you need to do is to perform a hard reset on your Apple phone using the following procedure.
Take your iPhone and press and hold the power button and the home button simultaneously for a few seconds (at least until the Apple logo is visible). The device will turn off and after a very short period of time, it will turn back on. That's it. As mentioned, the hard reset shouldn't make any changes to the iPhone.
On the iPhone 7, the forced reboot is slightly different. Instead of pressing the power button, in fact, along with the home button you need to press the one that serves to lower the volume. Also in this case you'll have to wait, before releasing the key combination, for the Apple logo to appear. And that's it.
If the problem persists, further investigation should be done. It is possible that the malfunction is caused by a downloaded application. In such cases, the only solution is to restore the iPhone to factory conditions.
