Motorola Moto G40 and G60 Fusion: great batteries at a small price

Two more smartphones for Motorola that renews the lower end of the range with Moto G40 and Moto G60, two models within reach of all budgets.

After presenting the new top of the range Moto G100 and with the medium Moto G50 (here are the details of both models) with the new smartphones Moto G40 and G60 Fusion, Motorola now focuses on two key elements to attack the low-medium end of the market: ultra capacious battery and small price, suitable for virtually all pockets. And this is the recipe that could turn these two small devices in interesting proposals belonging to the entry level.

After being widely analyzed through leaks spread on the network in recent weeks, the two new Motorola phones lay the cards on the table showing all the features that outline the final profile. From the classic design but elegant, these smartphones could establish themselves among the most popular models in the lower price range thanks to some technical specifications particularly sought after among users. So, even without spending exorbitant amounts of money, with Moto G40 and G60 Fusion will be possible to get your hands on top details that, usually, you can find exclusively on higher-end devices.

Moto G40, technical specifications

The 4G device Moto G40 has at its disposal a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen, with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. In the middle of the display, there is then the slot for the front camera. As a processor, however, the choice has fallen on the Snapdragon 732, with Adreno 618 GPU.

Two RAM/storage space configurations available: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB, expandable via microSD memory. As anticipated, focal point is that of the 6000mAh battery, with charger that allows fast charging to 20W present in the package.

From the point of view of the camera, on the back there is a module with primary sensor of 64MP and f/1.79, an ultra-wide-angle lens with integrated macro function from 8;P and f/2.2 and last, dedicated to the bokeh effect, from 2MP and f/2.4. On the front side, however, the camera for selfies has a 16MP sensor and f/2.2.

Among other details, there is the USB-Type-C port and the slot for the 3.5mm minijack connector, NFC reader, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, fingerprint reader present on the back of the plastic shell and the ability to unlock the device with face recognition. The operating system available is Android 11.

Moto G60 Fusion, technical specifications

With a similar configuration, the 4G device Moto G60 has an identical screen, again 6.8 inches with 120Hz refresh rate. Same processor and GPU but changes, however, the RAM/memory combination: in fact, there is only one version of 6GB/128GB, expandable via microSD. Also in this case the battery is ultra large: 6000mAh, rechargeable via the 20W fast charger included.

Between the differences there is the rear camera, with a 108MP Ultra Pixel and f/1.9 main sensor, while the values of the other two sensors are confirmed. It turns out enhanced the front camera, with 32MP and f/2.2. Also in this case the device, running Android 11 operating system, has USB Type-C port, 3.5mm connector for wired headphones, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC reader and facial recognition for unlocking the device.

Motorola Moto G40 and G60 Fusion, price and launch markets

The market launch of the two new Motorola smartphones is scheduled for May 1, first on the Indian market and then on the others although there is no specific information yet on which ones will be involved. The expected price for Moto G60 Fusion is about 200 euros while G40 will be available for sale in the two different configurations at the following price: about 155 euros for the 4GB/64GB version and just under 180 euros for the 6GB/128GB version.
