The wait is over. The Nokia 8, the top of the range of the Finnish company, has finally been presented to the general public. From the YouTube studios in London, Nokia and HMD Global have taken the veils off one of the most anticipated smartphones of the year. Since the Finnish company has returned to the market the hype generated among fans has been very high and after the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 was not expected anything but the top of the range.

The characteristics of the Nokia 8 had been pre-announced through rumors of the previous days. But the Finnish company was good at disguising some unique new features. We're talking about the dual rear camera made in collaboration with Zeiss, Bothie mode that will allow you to take photos and record videos using the front and rear cameras at the same time, and 360° OZO 3D audio that will make 4K videos even more immersive.

The technical specifications of the Nokia 8

The Nokia 8 is a smartphone designed for content creators, that is, for all those who use the smartphone not only to chat and phone calls, but also to take pictures and record videos. The characteristics of the Nokia 8 are true top of the range that has nothing to envy to other devices launched in recent months. The Nokia 8 is the flagship of the Finnish company that will finally be able to challenge on the same level Samsung, Apple, LG and Huawei.

As anticipated by rumors, the Nokia 8 mounts a Snapdragon 835 chipset supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. Also available from October 2 is a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The screen is 5.3 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and 554ppi. As for the design, the smartphone has a thickness of 4.6mm on the edges and 7.3mm in the middle. The body is completely made of aluminum and has undergone a 40-step manufacturing process. The battery of the Finnish smartphone is 3090mAh and supports Quick Charge 3 technology. The smartphone has an IP54 certification: it resists splashes but cannot be submerged in water.

The unique features of the Nokia 8

The Nokia 8 is characterized by three unique features: the dual rear camera made by Carl Zeiss, Bothie mode and 360° 3D OZO audio.

Let's go in order and start with the photo compartment. The Nokia 8 mounts three 13-megapixel sensors: two in the rear and one in the front. The dual rear camera was made with the collaboration of the Carl Zeiss company and uses a monochrome and an RGB sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Image contrast is improved thanks to the innovative "Image Fusion Technology".

The Bothie feature, on the other hand, allows users to make live videos on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram using Dual-Sight. The mode allows users to record footage simultaneously with the front and rear cameras by splitting the screen into two parts. With the Bothie feature you can also take photos.

The audio compartment, however, features 360° 3D OZO technology that makes videos with 4K resolution even more immersive.

Nokia 8 Accessories

The Nokia 8 will also come to market with new exclusive accessories. The device integrates perfectly with the Nokia Active wireless headphones and portable speakers of the Finnish company. To protect it from scratches and drops, covers will also be launched.
