From the net bounce the images of a phone concept that tries to imagine how will be the next smartphones of the Finnish manufacturer
Only a few days have passed since Nokia has officially announced that it will start producing smartphones again, after ending the collaboration with Microsoft. As it often happens in these cases, the first rumors about the next cell phones of the Finnish company have appeared on the web.
Now according to the latest news, Nokia might adopt curved displays in the near future, like Samsung and maybe Apple. These are just rumors, for sure there is still little except the fact that the Helsinki-based company will launch four new smartphones in 2017. Nevertheless, some graphic designers have begun to imagine how Nokia smartphones with edge-to-edge screen and with Android on board could be. Among them we find Michael Muleba, one of the most famous concept designers of cell phones that has returned to the scene by creating a new concept, the Nokia Hayen.
The Nokia Edge Phone
According to the graphic designer, the Nokia Edge Phone will be without home button and with a wide curved display. On the upper side, the smartphone will mount a special secondary screen that will be used for notifications, to manage audio and video. The phone, which will also have a 23-megapixel rear camera, will integrate both fingerprint reader and iris scanner. Actually, taking a look at Michael Muleba's render, the edge of the main display is a bit reminiscent of the Galaxy Edge S7.
4 smartphones in 2017
Back to the present, as mentioned Nokia is ready for the big comeback, launching 4 new smartphones. The Nokia D1C, an octa-core device with 3GB of RAM ,16 Gigabytes of internal memory and a 16-megapixel rear camera. Then two more mid-range smartphones should be announced: Nokia 5320 and RM-1490. Finally, the last model will be presented in two sizes, one 5.2 inches and the other 5.5 inches. Both will have an AMOLED screen, will support 2K resolution and will be water and dust resistant.
