NOW TV and Sky October 2020 releases: here’s what’s new

Great news for all fans of streaming movies and TV series: Sky's platform has also announced its new schedule. Here are the titles

October is coming and streaming platforms are publishing in these days the schedules coming next month. Among them is also NOW TV, which in recent months has shown that it can compete with other famous services, from Amazon Prime Video to Netflix.

NOW TV is Sky's streaming service and also includes all the titles of Sky On Demand. Every month the platform offers new movies and TV series of all kinds, and the beginning of fall 2020 is certainly no exception. By now, the catalog is so extensive that juggling original content, cult titles and other new releases is really difficult. In the month of October, for example, you can see a lot of movies from Underwater to Terminator - Dark Destiny, up to the drama with Paola Cortellesi entitled Petra. Even the TV series coming are many, among them stands out the tenth season of The Walking Dead. So let's see the full list coming up.

New NOW TV: TV series coming up in October 2020

As announced, one of the main titles coming up on NOW TV is The Walking Dead 10. The TV series had been interrupted due to the Coronavirus emergency, so the season finale is currently missing and will arrive on the platform on October 5, 2020. Next year we will be able to watch season 11, the final one.

Another highly anticipated content on NOW Tv and Sky On Demand is We are who we are, the Italian-American TV series directed by Luca Guadagnino. It is a teen drama centered on two young Americans, Frasier and Caitlin, who live inside the U.S. military base in Chioggia. Here they lead their lives between parties, love affairs, friendships and conflicts. The Sky and HBO original series will arrive in Italy on October 9, 2020.

Now let's move on to another genre, the Agatha Christie mystery: A Horse for the Witch is the mini-series inspired by the writer's book of the same name. The story centers on a mysterious crime that leads to The Pale Horse, a residence that is said to be inhabited by witches, but actually hides other terrible secrets. It arrives on NOW TV and Sky ON Demand on October 13, 2020.

Another title that has been much talked about in recent weeks, mainly because of lead actor Jude Law. Produced by Sky Studios, The Third Day comes to streaming on October 19, 2020. The project tells three different stories, independent of each other: a man (Jude Law) and a woman (Naomi Harris) arrive on a mysterious island and interface with the population determined to protect their customs and traditions at any cost.

Among other news, we recommend the first season of the horror Lovecraft Country coming on October 31, and the two mini-series The Good Lord Bird (from October 7) and The Comey Rule (October 12). In addition, from October 14 will be released the fourth chapter of Room 104, created by brothers Jay and Mark Duplass in 2017, which tells the stories of the characters who take turns inside the room of a hotel.

New NOW TV: movies coming in October 2020

And who prefers feature films to serials? Again, the platform is ready to please the audience with many movies coming in October. It starts on October 2 with Les Miserables, directed by Ladj Ly, which tells of a climate of riots and crime in the neighborhoods of Paris and its suburbs.

Underwater will instead be available from October 6. The cast includes many interesting actors, including Kristen Stewart and Vincent Cassel. It is about a group of scientists working inside an underwater station that is devastated by a tsunami.

Horror lovers will be satisfied on October 9 with the arrival of Annabelle 3. The film will not be available on NOW TV but only on Sky On Demand. Those who are looking for a film to watch on the streaming platform will be able to make up for it on October 19 with an action classic: Terminator - Dark Destiny, starring actors Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The list is of course very long: there are about twenty films coming and suitable for every taste. For example, on October 5 we will see the fourth episode of Petra - Morti di Carta, the fiction of the moment directed by Maria Sole Tognazzi and starring Paola Cortellesi in the role of the inspector created by Alicia Giménez-Bartlett. This meeting between streaming and cinema has already made a large segment of the public fall in love.

We just have to wait a few more days to finally see all the new entries of NOW TV.
