Il certificato verde per poter tornare a viaggiare in Italia e in Europa è finalmente una realtà. From July 1, the new Green Passes issued by individual EU countries will be recognized in all member states, thanks to the activation of the new system of interoperability.
In Italy, the Green Pass certifying immunity from Covid-19 is issued from the first dose of the vaccine, but in order for it to be valid elsewhere will have to be certified also the execution of the second dose. At the moment, the vaccination certificate can be requested by those who have been vaccinated, those who have been cured of Covid-19 for less than 6 months and those who have tested negative to a molecular or rapid test in the 48 hours preceding the release. The certification can be requested either through the Immuni app, or from your primary care physician or pharmacist, who will provide it in paper form. Once issued, it will also be available in the IO app, so you can carry the QRCode with you on your smartphone at all times.
Green Pass Covid-19: when it is issued
The Green Pass is issued automatically for all vaccinations given on or after December 27, 2020. Those who have already had the vaccine will receive an email or text message after about 15 days notifying them that the certification is available in their regional health record.
In particular, the Green Pass is issued as early as after the first dose of vaccine, in the case of Pfizer, Astrazeneca and Moderna, or after the completion of the vaccination cycle with the second dose. Per chi invece si sottopone al vaccino monodose Johnson & Johnson, questo sarà subito disponibile.
In alternativa, il certificato verrà rilasciato anche a tutti coloro che sono immunizzati dal virus: sia perché guariti da meno di 6 mesi dal Covid-19, sia perché risultati negativi a un tampone molecolare o un test rapido nelle 48 ore precedenti il rilascio.
Quanto dura il Green Pass per il Covid-19
La durata del Green Pass è diversa a seconda di quale sia il tipo di certificazione rilasciata. Secondo quanto previsto dalle regole europee, si distinguono tre diversi casi:
- vaccinazione da Covid-19: il certificato è emesso 15 giorni dopo la prima dose di vaccino, ed è valido fino alla somministrazione della seconda dose. Completato il ciclo vaccinale, resta valido per un tempo totale di 9 mesi dalla seconda dose.
- guarigione da Covid-19: il certificato di chi è guarito dal Covid-19 vale per 6 mesi dal primo risultato positivo a un test o a un tampone molecolare, cioè dal primo giorno in cui è stata attestata l’infezione
- test negativo 48 ore prima: se si effettua un tampone rapido, il certificato rimarrà valido per 48 ore dall’esito del precedente test negativo. Nel caso in cui si esegua un tampone molecolare, il Green Pass è valido 72 ore dall’ultimo risultato negativo
Come ottenere il Green Pass Covid-19
Le modalità per ottenere il Green Pass dell’immunità dal Covid-19 sono diverse. This can be downloaded from the government's dedicated website, which is accessed with the credentials of the digital identity Spid or with the electronic identity card Cie.
Alternatively, you can use your health card or a valid identity document, but you will need to be in possession of the codes provided by health facilities. If you are in possession of the codes, the certification can also be issued from the Immuni app, using the new section Eu digital Covid certificate, which requires the insertion of the unique code and the data of your health card. In the case of the IO app, however, you will only be able to download the Green Pass QRcode after requesting it with one of the methods listed above.
