The Redmi Note 8 will be presented on August 29. On board will be the new MediaTek G90T processor: here's what it will look like
It's just over a week until the event for the official launch of the new Redmi Note 8 scheduled for next August 29. The new Chinese low-cost smartphone focuses everything on the photo compartment, the real strength of the phone thanks to the presence of a 64-megapixel photo sensor. The new Redmi Note 8 (in the Pro version) should have a total of four photo sensors: in addition to the 64-megapixel one, a telephoto lens, a wide-angle camera and a ToF sensor dedicated to the depth of field.
In addition to the photographic compartment, the Redmi Note 8 offers other very interesting features. The design will feature a teardrop-shaped notch that will allow for even thinner bezels than the previous model. The other novelty concerns the processor: on board we will find the Helio G90 and G90T, chipsets made by MediaTek. This is a change of strategy for Redmi, which until now had relied almost exclusively on processors made by Qualcomm.
Redmi Note 8: coming two versions?
The information leaked so far seems to be discordant and something does not fit. From the latest photos published online, the camera is positioned vertically in the center of the body with the three sensors aligned and a fourth moved further to the right just below the LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is positioned slightly lower than the three cameras. It's different if you take as reference the images attached to the FCC certification that show the quadruple camera in a different position, located in the upper left corner of the rear shell of the phone. Image that does not even coincide with those displayed in an alleged commercial currently available online. According to the usual well-informed could be a different design that could distinguish two different versions of the smartphone lowcost Redmi: Note 8 and Note 8 Pro.
Redmi Note 8: a new processor?
Unlike what has emerged in recent months, the new Redmi Note 8 would contain in itself a small revolution enclosed under the shell. From China come confirmations on the presence on the Redmi Note 8 of a new chipset Mediatek, the Helio G90 and G90T instead of the now classic Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. In particular, the new G90T processor produced by Mediatek is designed specifically for gaming, which suggests its presence in the Pro version of the low-cost phone from the Chinese giant. We just have to wait for the official event.
