Redmi Note 7 official: how is the new Chinese low-cost smartphone

Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 7 and makes official the birth of the new brand "Redmi". The smartphone has the Snapdragon 660 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage

After the anticipations of the previous days, Xiaomi has officially presented the Redmi Note 7, the new low-cost smartphone of the Chinese company. During the presentation there was also another big announcement: Redmi will become a separate brand (still owned by Xiaomi) and will be dedicated to the production of mid-range smartphones with excellent value for money. The smartphones will have "Redmi by Xiaomi" written on the back. This is the third independent brand that Xiaomi launches in recent months and will be added to Pocophone and BlackShark (gaming smartphones).

But let's go back to the Redmi Note 7, the first smartphone launched by Xiaomi in this 2019. The device has a very interesting data sheet characterized by the Snapdragon 660 chipset and a 48-megapixel rear camera made by Samsung (it could also be mounted on the upcoming Galaxy S10). For the Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi has decided to adopt the design with the "teardrop" notch, a solution that we will see on many devices coming out in 2019 and that allows to minimize the thickness of the bezels.

Features Redmi Note 7

The smartphone is a mid-range with an entry-level price. On board the device we find the Snapdragon 660 supported by 3/4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card. The device will arrive in three different versions: the base model will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, then there will be an advanced version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and the top model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The display is 6.3 inches with FullHD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. As written earlier, we find the teardrop notch that houses the 13-megapixel front-facing photo sensor.

One of the most interesting features is the rear camera compartment. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 mounts a 48-megapixel sensor made by Samsung. Compared to rumors, the Chinese company has preferred to mount the sensor made by Samsung and not the 48 Megapixel lens from Sony: the reason is quite simple, it would seem that Honor has purchased all the production for its Honor View 2o. Probable arrival in the spring of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro with Sony's photo sensor. The main sensor is supported by a second 5 Megapixel lens dedicated to bokeh effect and for depth of field. 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 fast charging. Presente anche il jack audio da 3,5mm.
