Xiaomi has released the MIUI 12 version of its custom interface: here's for which smartphones the update arrives and on which of the new ones to find it
The Xiaomi MIUI 12 custom interface is also available for the two top of the range Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G. The roll out process of the new GUI is progressing and it will also arrive for Xiaomi Mi 9T, one of the mid-range smartphones that was successful last year.
While the number of Xiaomi smartphones that has access to the MIUI 12 update is increasing month by month, no new features have been reported beyond those already outlined. The new interface promises significant improvements in the camera area, with the possible introduction of the AI Shutter feature, a function very similar to Google Pixel's Top Shot, which allows you to choose the best shot. Another feature that will be much appreciated by readers in the new version is the "Reading Mode" that promises to turn the smartphone into an effective e-reader, for a reading on screen as comfortable as on printed paper.
MIUI 12, two versions depending on the market
It is not the same version for all devices, however: Xiaomi has now established the habit of making different variants of MIUI depending on the target market. Generally, the version known as MI is the one available for the global market, while in Europe the version that is released is identified by the initials EU. Per questo motivo, gli smartphone Xiaomi Mi 9T e Mi 10 Lite 5G dovrebbero ricevere la versione MIUI 12 EU, mentre lo Xiaomi Mi 10 riceverà quella globale MI.
MIUI 12, come aggiornare lo smartphone Xiaomi
Se siete in possesso di uno smartphone Xiaomi per cui è previsto l’aggiornamento alla MIUI 12, vi basterà andare nella sezione "Aggiornamenti" del telefono per scaricare l’update. Il consiglio prima di procedere all’installazione dell’aggiornamento è di effettuare un backup di tutti i dati presenti nello smartphone, nel caso in cui dovessero insorgere problemi e malfunzionamenti durante il processo.
