Pokemon Go shatters record: 600 million revenue in 90 days

The app has earned Nintendo record revenues. New updates are ready to improve gameplay and add new Pokemon

It is the application of records. The only one able to trigger in a few days a real rush to download. We're talking logically about Pokemon Go, which after setting all kinds of records has become the first application to exceed 600 million in revenues in just over three months.

To say so is App Annie, a U.S. company with years of experience in the application industry, which has conducted research on the app developed by Nintendo along with Niantic. The report compared the result obtained by Pokemon Go with that of the most famous apps on the Google Play Store and App Store. For example, Candy Crush Saga took 200 days to reach the same figure, while Puzzle & Dragons and Clash of Clains over 400 days. Pokemon Go less than half that.

The first creaks

In spite of the fact that in these first three months it has been the videogame most used by users (according to App Annie's data, 45% of the time spent on Android games has been spent on Pokemon Go), Nintendo's application is starting to show the first signs of failure. For this reason, the Japanese company along with Niantic is starting to develop new updates that keep the focus on the game. It is not excluded that in the coming months will be added new animals and new game modes, so that users can challenge and exchange Pokemon in their Pokedex.
