Coming soon a new Xiaomi cheap

The Chinese giant doesn't stand still for a moment: tomorrow it will present "A New Lite", a new model of cheap smartphone that will be called Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE

If you've lost count of how many smartphones Xiaomi has presented since January until today, you don't have to be ashamed: we're starting to have some difficulties too. The health and commercial fortune of this Asian giant, on the other hand, start precisely from this commercial policy: create as many devices as possible, so that there is a Xiaomi for everyone.

And it's not over here, because another is coming: Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. And it's coming fast too: Xiaomi has scheduled a new product unveiling for tomorrow, September 15, 2021. A day to tell the truth not very apt, because tomorrow at this time we will all be busy commenting on the release of iPhone 13, which will be launched this evening by Apple. Of Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE we know little at the moment: the two letters at the end of the trade name stand for "New Edition", while it is certain that it will be a low cost from the "Lite". But it will be, as Xiaomi says in the announcement teaser, "A New Lite", a new low-cost version. New because, at the bottom of the Mi 11 range (which, as of the last models presented, is now called just "11") there are already Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G and Mi 11 Lite 5G. Strictly speaking, therefore, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE should be a kind of Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G "encore".

Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE: what it will look like

From the rumors that are going around at the moment, it would seem that Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE will feature an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 6.55 inches and 90Hz refresh. The chip is expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. The front camera should be 16 MP, while the rear cameras should be three: 64 MP main, 8 MP ultra wide angle and 5 MP macro.

What's different from the current Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G? Practically nothing apart from the selfie camera (16 MP instead of 20 MP) and the processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G instead of 780G). We'll see.

Why Xiaomi is making all these smartphones

Many, by now, must have wondered why Xiaomi is introducing so many Mi 11/11 series models in such a short time. The answer, probably, lies in the fact that if you want to produce millions and millions of smartphones in 2021, you have to juggle with components, because the whole electronics industry is still struggling with the chip crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic.

But since, by now, the Xiaomi buyer is far more savvy than in the past, it's okay to call even slightly different models by different names. The important thing is to know what you're buying.
