Oltre 1,6 miliardi di persone nel mondo ha in tasca uno smartphone Android e, di questi, circa 466 milioni ha problemi di udito o è del tutto non udente. Per loro Google ha rinforzato il pacchetto delle funzioni di accessibilità di Android e ha introdotto le “sound notifications“, cioè le notifiche testuali, aptiche e visive ogni volta che il telefono sente un rumore.
Non tutti i rumori, ovviamente, ma solo quelli che potrebbero essere utili o importanti per la persona con difficoltà uditive. Notifiche che, oltre che sui cellulari Android, arrivano anche sugli smartphone con Wear OS. Google tra l’altro, le ha fatte anche molto bene perché ha creato una schermata dalla quale è possibile vedere una sorta di “timeline" dei suoni intercettati.
