Loading space from the iPhone memory is easier than you think: just choose the method that best suits your case and you're done
With over 2 million applications, the Apple App Store is still the "richest" store on the market. A continuous temptation for all those users who, with an iPhone or an iPad in their hands, scroll through the lists of the most downloaded apps, the most played videogames or the most useful tools looking for something to install on their device.
An attitude, however, that is not very "healthy". In most cases, the installed apps will be used a couple of times, before ending up in our oblivion, while they continue to occupy space in the device's memory. So it happens that the available space becomes more and more scarce, significantly affecting both the phone's performance and the time needed to install app updates released by the author. Fortunately, however, the user has several ways to delete apps from iPhone or iPad and free up memory space.
Deleting Apps from iPhone
In case you have your iPhone or iPad in your hands, deleting the app is extremely simple. Once you've found the app you want to delete, just keep your finger pressed on the icon for a few seconds (3 or 4 at most) and you'll see that all the icons on the display will start to "shake" and, at the same time, a small black "x" will appear in the upper right corner, inside a grey circle. Pressing on the "x" a dialog box appears asking for confirmation of your intentions: press "Delete" in red and that's it. However, you should keep in mind that this operation does not only delete the chosen application: all the data created over time (game saves, settings customization, saved credentials and so on) will also be deleted from the iPhone or iPad memory. If you plan to reuse that app soon, it's advisable to choose another app to free up space on your device.
Deleting apps from iOS Settings
Alternatively, you can delete apps that you no longer need - or that take up more space - by taking advantage of some tools in iOS Settings. Within them, look for the General item, then choose Space on Device and iCloud and, finally, Manage Space. Within a few seconds, iOS will load the list of apps installed on your device, arranging it in descending order of size (apps that take up the most space at the top and gradually down). If you need to recover space in a hurry, then, just press on one of the apps in the list and access its tab: here you can check both the space occupied by the app itself, and that occupied by data. If this is the case, then you can decide to delete only the data and keep the app on your device. Otherwise, just press the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
Deleting apps from iTunes on Mac
The apps on your iPhone or iPad can also be managed through iTunes, Apple's software that allows you to connect and sync your iOS devices with your macOS or Windows computer. By taking advantage of the tools that the program provides, then, you will be able to control all the apps in the memory of our applephone and delete them from the PC: when you synchronize again smartphone and computer, the app will be deleted from the phone's memory as well. To delete apps from iTunes, go to the App Library, click on the app you want to delete and select Delete from Library from the popup menu. Just confirm your choice and you're done.
