For a long time, those who need to make and receive calls on multiple phone numbers, perhaps to separate personal and business calls, have had two options: either buy two smartphones, with two SIMs, or buy a dual SIM. Not all smartphones, however, are available with dual slots, and this has often limited the choice of this type of users.
For them, the Swiss company SIMore has been creating, for some time now, different types of multi-SIM adapters that turn a normal smartphone, whether Android or iPhone, into a cell phone with two, three, four or even five SIMs. This adapter is incredibly easy to use and flexible: it is compatible with hundreds of smartphone models, works with SIMs from all operators (in 3G, 4G and even 5G) and is even easy to install. As if that wasn't enough, all the SIMs inserted in the adapter can also be used to surf the Internet. Run out of gigs? Change SIM cards on the fly.
SIMore 5 SIM adapter: how it is made
This adapter is extremely simple in construction. It consists of a ribbon with one end that is inserted, along with the first SIM, inside the normal slot of the smartphone. The other end, however, contains the adapter itself that houses one, two, three or four additional SIM cards. To mount the adapter, therefore, simply insert all SIMs into the slots and then insert the adapter into the slot along with the main SIM. The adapter sticks out of the phone, so it can only be used in conjunction with a cover that holds all the SIMs in place. Otherwise, the risk of breaking something is almost a certainty.
SIMore 5-SIM adapter: how it works
If assembling the SIMore 5-SIM adapter is easy, even more so is using it. We can receive calls on all SIMs without doing anything, while to choose which SIM to use for calling, all we need to do is to dial a code on the phone's dialer and launch the call, which will drop on its own since the code is not a valid phone number. Even the code is easy: "#22" to activate the second SIM, "#33" to activate the third, "#44" for the fourth and "#55" for the fifth. Hard to come up with something more user-friendly. Of course, the last SIM we used is the one that remains active for calls, and if we want to go back to the first SIM, we'll just call the code "#11".
