The Huawei Mate 30 Lite could be the first smartphone with Harmony OS. The release, however, is expected only in China
After many indiscretions and rumors Huawei has finally presented Harmony OS, the new multi-platform operating system that should replace Android in the next devices of the Chinese company. A few hours after the official presentation of the operating system, already begin to arrive the first rumors about devices that will mount Harmony OS. According to a report published online, the first smartphone to benefit from the new operating system will be the Huawei Mate 30 Lite, a cell phone that should be launched in October.
Harmony OS, however, will be installed only on the Chinese version: in Europe it will be released with Android 10 Q and EMUI 10. Huawei wants to test the operating system on the domestic market first and make it debut on the difficult European market only later. In recent months, Huawei has tested HarmonyOS on more than a million devices and everything went well, but to be sure not to make mistakes the Chinese company wants to take things slowly.
The features of the Huawei Mate 30 Lite
To debut the new OS, Huawei has chosen one of its flagship devices. The "Lite" versions of the top of the range smartphones always manage to achieve excellent results from the sales point of view.
The Huawei Mate 30 Lite is expected to mount the Kirin 810 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in support. The screen is expected to be 6.26 inches with FullHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The design should be characterized by the presence of a hole on the screen in the upper left.
The rear should find place a quadruple camera with 48 Megapixel main sensor, 8 Megapixel secondary and 2 Megapixel sensors for depth of field. The battery is expected to be 3900mAh.
When the Huawei Mate 30 Lite comes out
The smartphone will be unveiled alongside the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, the Chinese company's next two top-of-the-line smartphones. There is no exact date yet, but the presentation is expected to take place in October. The price of the Mate 30 Lite is expected to be around 300 euros.
