Confluence Word Import: How to do it

Confluence is a tool for creating wiki pages that promote knowledge and information sharing in organizations. With the Office Connector, you can also import Word documents into a Confluence page in a snap.

How to import a Word document into Confluence

To import a document from Microsoft Word into Confluence, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to an existing page or create a new one.
2. In view mode, click on the menu and there on "Document Import".
3. Then the dialog "Import Word document: Upload".
4. About a click on "Choose File" you select the document and confirm this with a click on "Next".
5. Now appears the dialog "Import Word Document: Configuration", where you enter a title for the page to be imported in advance.
6. Now choose where you want to import the document and how you want to handle potential name conflicts of other pages.
7. Finally click on "Import".
