PowerPoint: Show notes - expand the screen

Having created your presentation via PowerPoint, you can insert invisible notes that will not be displayed in the finished project. However, you can set them to show the notes only to you.

How to display your notes in PowerPoint

Since you want these notes to be displayed only to you and not to your audience when you give a talk, Microsoft provides a special feature in PowerPoint that makes this possible.

1. Connect your laptop to the projector. You can also press the key combination "Windows key" + "P" on your desktop to set up multiple monitors. In the menu that appears afterwards, select "Extend Display".
2. After that, open your presentation in PowerPoint. Click on "Slide Show" and then on "Set Up Slide Show".
3. Here, under the menu item "Multiple Screens", select "Slide Show Monitor" and choose the screen on which you want to see the presentation.
4. Finally, make sure that a check mark is placed on "Use Speaker View". Nur so werden Ihnen die Notizen auch angezeigt.
5. Die Präsentation ist auf dem ausgewählten Bildschirm für Ihre Zuschauer ohne Notizen zu sehen. Auf Ihrem Bildschirm wird eine kleinere Version mit eingeblendeten Notizen angezeigt.

Wie erstellen Sie unsichtbare Notizen in PowerPoint?

Öffnen Sie zunächst ein neues Projekt oder eine bereits erstellte Präsentation.

1. Wählen Sie im Register „Ansicht“ und klicken Sie auf „Notizseite“.
2. Es erscheint ein Fenster mit einem Textfeld, in das Sie Ihre Notizen eingeben können.
3. Gehen Sie erneut auf „Ansicht“ und wählen Sie diesmal die Option „Normal“, um wieder die Folie bearbeiten zu können.
4. Die Notizen sind nun unsichtbar unter der Folie versteckt.
