YouTube: Delete ratings - here's how

Rating allows you to give positive or negative feedback to other users' videos on YouTube. If you have changed your opinion about a video, it is easily possible to delete a submitted rating again.

YouTube: How to create and delete ratings

On YouTube you have the possibility to rate viewed videos positively or negatively. For this, you only need an account on YouTube and must be logged in. If you have your own channel on which you publish videos yourself, these can also be rated by other users.

1. Even if you have once given a rating for a video, you can delete it again at any time.
2. The procedure required for this again depends on whether it is a positive or negative rating.
3. If it is a negative rating, please call up the rated video and click "I like" to replace the negative with a positive rating.
4. If you have rated a video positively and would like to delete this again, first call up the video manager after logging in.
5. Then place a check mark next to the videos whose rating should be deleted and click "Remove" to confirm.

How to delete comments on YouTube

In addition to the option of submitting a rating on YouTube, you can also comment on videos. If you have made an incorrect comment or changed your opinion about a video in the process, deletion is also possible here. To remove a submitted comment, please access the comment history, tap on the "three-dot menu" next to the comment and select "Delete".
