Twitter: Add GIF to Tweet - how to do it

On Twitter you can share various tweets with your followers. To make them as interesting as possible it is possible to add images or even GIFs. On the PC, this is easily done using the same function that you use to insert images. This is also possible in the mobile version.

How to include a GIF in your tweet on Twitter

To make your tweet interesting for your followers, you can include GIFs as well as images. However, keep in mind that you can include a maximum of one GIF per tweet. If there are already several images in the tweet, you cannot insert GIFs here either.
  1. First, go to "Compose Tweet". Here there is a photo icon, click on it to add a photo or a GIF.
  2. Now you can select a file from your computer. Alternatively, you have the option to select something suitable from a GIF library. To do this, click on the icon with "GIF".
  3. It is also possible to add a GIF via iOS and Android. For this, tap on the "Tweet" icon to compose a new tweet.
  4. Followed by select the camera icon. Again, you now have the option to select a GIF that is stored on your smartphone.
  5. Alternatively, tap the "GIF" icon to select a GIF from the existing library.
