How to show the developer tool in Excel

With the developer tool in Excel you have the possibility to access additional functions. You can use macros to automate certain workflows in the program when creating your documents. In addition, you can extend tables according to your needs using your own Visual Basic scripts. The tool is not displayed by default in the program, but you can enable this option. Once you display the developer tool, it will appear as an additional tab.

1. Open Excel on your computer.
2. Switch to the "File" tab, if you have not already done so.
3. On the left side, you will now see a menu. Wählen Sie hier den Punkt „Menüband anpassen“ aus.
4. Nun müssen Sie auf die „Hauptregisterkarten“ auf der rechten, äußeren Seite klicken.
5. Hier haben Sie jetzt die Möglichkeit, den Punkt „Entwicklertools“ zu aktivieren. Ist er aktiviert, wird ein Haken angezeigt.
6. Abschließend müssen Sie die Einstellungen nur noch über die Schaltfläche „Ok“ akzeptieren.
7. In den Hauptregisterkarten wird nun auch das Entwicklertool angezeigt. Klicken Sie auf darauf, um auf verschiedene Funktion zuzugreifen.
