DHL: Submit a complaint online - here's how

If you are dissatisfied with DHL's service or there are problems with a shipment, it is possible to submit a complaint directly online. Here we show you how to proceed correctly and what other options you have to complain to DHL.

How to submit your complaint to DHL online

If you have problems with your DHL parcel carrier, your parcel has not arrived or it has been damaged in transit, you can complain to DHL. To submit your complaint directly online, either write an e-mail to "[email protected]" or use the Deutsche Post help pages at "dhl.de". If your package is damaged, for example, you will find a damage form to print out there.

These are the other options you have for making a complaint to DHL

If you do not want to submit your complaint to DHL online, there are several other ways to get in touch with the company. Regardless of which way you use to contact them, it is essential that you include important data such as the shipment number, sender and recipient addresses or postal number.
  1. To speak personally with a DHL employee about your concerns, you can use the telephone hotline. You can always reach this from Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 20:00 and Saturday between 7:00 and 16:00. Simply call the following number for this: 0228 43 33 11 2.
  2. Alternatively, you can also send your complaint by fax to 01803 002600. However, this number is subject to a charge and costs 9 cents per minute.
  3. If you would like to submit your complaint by post, please send your letter to DHL Vertriebs GmbH, Customer Service, 22795 Hamburg.
