Resetting the Speedport router - how to do it

If you have a contract with Telekom, then you usually receive a Speedport router with it. If you have problems with your router, then rebooting or resetting the device can already solve them. With the Speedport router, you have various options for this.

How to reset your Speedport router

When you reset your Speedport router, you bring it back to the state the device had when you got it. But it will also reset your passwords and settings, so you will have to log back in with your default data.

1. To reset the router, first remove the connection to the power source. Then, press the small "reset" button on the back of the device. Hold it down for about five seconds until the device resets.
2. Alternatively, you can also reset the device via the user interface. To do this, go to a browser of your choice and enter "speedport.ip" in the address bar. Betätigen Sie die Eingabe mit der Enter-Taste.
3. Melden Sie sich dort mit Ihren Login-Daten an und klicken Sie oben auf „Einstellungen“ und danach auf „Problembehandlung“.
4. Hier wählen Sie die Option „Zurücksetzen aller Einstellungen“ und danach „Werkseinstellungen“ aus.
5. Lesen Sie die Warnhinweise durch und bestätigen Sie diese über „Zurücksetzen“ und „Ok“.
6. Der Vorgang kann einige Sekunden in Anspruch nehmen.
