LaTeX: Change font - provide new perspectives

If you work with LaTeX, you will see that there is a font to begin with, but it is only conditionally suitable for every project. To help you adapt the look to your content, we'll show you what options are available in LaTeX.

How to choose the font

LaTeX uses a 10pt serif font by default, which is appropriate for many documents, but not for all projects you want to realize.

1. Before you start choosing the font, you should enter the commands /usepackage(T1)(frontec) and /usepackage(utf8)(inputenc). This is the only way that the special characters and umlauts will be preserved and displayed correctly.
2. Following this, select one of the existing font packages and import it in the preamble.
3. Now enter the command /usepackage("font") and all the text will be created in the font you selected.
4. Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass nicht alle Schriften denselben Namen tragen, den Sie bereits aus anderen Textverarbeitungsprogrammen kennen.

• Möchten Sie kursive Schrift, dann geben Sie /textit(text) ein.
• Für eine serifenlose Schrift geben Sie /textsf(text9 ein.
• Wählen Sie /texttt(text) für die Schreibmaschinenschrift aus.
• Um Kapitälchen zu setzen, geben Sie /textsc(text) ein.
• Eine Serifenschrift erhalten Sie mit /textrm(text) ein.
