PowerPoint: Background transparent - edit images
PowerPoint offers numerous effects and images to customize the slides of your presentation as you wish. Especially if you want to use an image as background, it is usually important to make it transparent.
How to get a transparent background in PowerPoint
If you want to use a transparent background, it is best to make an image a watermark.- Open your presentation in PowerPoint and go to the slide whose background you want to be transparent.
- Make a right click on the slide and select the option "Format Background".
- Here you can select the type of fill.
- For example, if you want an image as a background, select "Image or Texture Fill" and click "File" under "Insert Image From".
- Have you decided on an image, confirm with a click on "Insert".
- In the menu item "Format background" you can now, regardless of what type of fill you have used, further down to set the transparency.
- You have a slider and a percentage available. Note that a higher percentage means a lower transparency of the background.
- Once you have made all the settings you want and you want to apply this background to all slides, click "Apply to all".
