PayPal: Forgot security question - what you can do

Many online platforms use security questions to confirm your identity when you recover your password. However, it may happen that you have forgotten your security questions. In this case, you can reset the question via the PayPal website.

How to reset the PayPal security question

With PayPal, you can no longer view your old answers to the previously specified security questions. However, you have the option to select new security questions and reset the answer if you have forgotten them.

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in with your username and password.
2. After that, click on the gear icon at the top right and go to the "Security" tab.
3. Scroll down to the "Security Questions" item and click on it.
4. Es öffnet sich ein Fenster, in dem Sie die neuen Sicherheitsfragen festlegen.
5. Wählen Sie zwei neue Fragen aus und tragen Sie die entsprechenden Antworten ein.
6. Zum Schluss klicken Sie auf „Speichern“ und die neuen Fragen werden eingespeichert.

Im Tab „Sicherheit“ können Sie in PayPal alle sicherheitsbedingten Einstellungen treffen. Sie können beispielsweise Ihr Passwort zurücksetzen oder die zweistufige Authentifizierung aktivieren.
