The iPhone is smaller than the iPad. So how convenient would it be now if you could use the iPhone as a remote control for the iPad, allowing you to control your iPad from anywhere in your home? With an app, this is possible.

Which app can you use to control your iPad with your iPhone?

There is no app with which you can access your entire iPad, because this would blow up your storage space. However, you can control parts of it with the free Apple app "iTunes Remote".

1. Download the app.
2. After that, you need to connect to your iPad. Optionally, you can also pair your smartphone with a computer.
3. Now you can access the entire iTunes library of the other device. You can edit and create playlists here and search for specific tracks.
4. For better sound, you can also use "iTunes Remote" to run music through Air Play speakers and regulate the volume of the speakers via the phone.

Alternative: Apple switch control

In addition to the Remote app, there is still a pre-installed way to control the iPad with the iPhone. Dafür müssen sich die Geräte im selben WLAN befinden und dieselbe Apple-ID verwenden.

1. Navigieren Sie auf dem iPhone zu „Einstellungen > Bedienungshilfen > Schaltersteuerung“.
