WordPress: Set font size with Gutenberg - how it works

The Gutenberg editor not only gives posts a new structure, but also more options for detailed editing. Read how to adjust the font size depending on the section.

Thanks to Gutenberg, you can change the font size directly in the post editor.

In WordPress, there are several ways to adjust the font size, such as through the theme options or via CSS intervention. Thanks to Gutenberg, there is another option.

WordPress: Change font size individually for each block

With the Gutenberg editor, you can change the font size for individual blocks separately:
  1. Click on the desired block.
  2. Make sure that "Block" is now active in the options on the right.
  3. There you will see under "Text Settings" a selection box for "Font Size".
  4. By default, "Normal" is set, optionally there are "Medium", "Large" and "Huge".
Alternatively, you can also manually enter the desired font size to the right of it. This method is the most precise, since the four predefined sizes are divided rather roughly.
