iPhone X: Record a call - here's how

Even though the iPhone X doesn't have a built-in feature to record a call, there are methods that still allow you to record. Regardless of which method you use, however, call recording is only allowed if the person you are talking to agrees to it.

iPhone X: Record calls via app

The iPhone X was not equipped by Apple with a function to record calls. Therefore, to record your phone calls anyway, you need an additional app.

1. An app that is suitable for recording calls is "TapeACall". The app is free during the seven-day trial period and is available for download from the App Store
2. To use the app after the trial period or to record calls lasting more than 60 seconds, however, you will need the paid version for 11.99 euros.
3. Once you have installed the app on your iPhone X, please open it and enter your phone number before tapping "Next".
4. You will then receive an activation code via SMS, which you need to enter in the app to activate it.
5. Once you have set up the app, you can start a recording by switching to the TapeACall app during an active call and pressing the red record button.

Record a call on iPhone X: Other options

Without buying an additional app, recording phone calls, on the other hand, is only possible if you jailbreak your iPhone X beforehand. If you have performed this, you can then download the app "Audio Recorder" via Cydia and record your conversations with it without any problems.
